So excited to announce that my dear friend Emma and her hubs Nate welcomed Baby Maylin into the world last week!  She is so precious and I cannot wait to snuggle with her in November :)

I wanted to give Maylin something special so I made her an Elephant Softie.  A cute little stuffed elephant that she can play and cuddle with for years to come!!

It’s so adorable I’ve decided to sell it in my Etsy Shop!!

And unfortunately I could not attend the baby shower earlier this year, but I sent goodies.  Yup, you guessed it: cake pops!  And not just any old pops… gluten free baby rattle pops!

  So to celebrate my new adventure, I’m sharing some sparkly cake pops I’ve made in the past!  These were custom orders back when I lived in Florida.  Gotta love me some sparkle!

Pink Strawberry Cake Pops

I had the pleasure of creating these adorable strawberry shaped cake pops for a little girl’s 1st birthday party!

The pops are made of red velvet cake mixed with cream cheese frosting and dipped in vanilla candy coating.

Wanna know how to make them?  It’s simple!  Just takes time.

I simply shaped the cake mixture into pyramid shapes, let them chill, then dipped them in the candy coating and attached the sugar pearls while the coating was still wet {you have to work super fast… food safe tweezers come in handy!}

Lastly, color your gum paste to the desired green color and roll out about 1/16 inch thickness.  Cut out the leaves with a small sized fondant cutter (or cookie cutter), roll out a little ball for the stem and attach with a drop of water.  Let gum paste harden slightly then attach to the pops with a dab of melted candy melt.  Brush with sparkly edible glitter!

I am always so pleased and so happy when my customers love their pops.  It takes a lot of precious time and love to make these!

here is a picture my customer sent to me… love the labels she made for her daughter’s birthday party!

Surprise Birthday Pops!

May I present to you my second Etsy order!
These cake pops were a blast to make… my customer ordered a dozen of of my Luscious Lemon pops and requested the colors “screaming mermaid teal” and “electric Big Bird yellow.”
She ordered these as a surprise for her twin sister’s birthday.  How sweet is that?

 Although these pictures don’t portray the colors well {for some reason they look blue?!}, the base coat was a deep vibrant teal color.  Totally Mermaid worthy!

And let me tell you… the lemon cake and lemon buttercream combo was out. of. this. world.  (Yay for extras! 😉

Thank you for your sweet business!  I can say I’m my own businesswoman now, right?!  😉
